Abundiflora Landscape Design consists of two resourceful plant enthusiasts, Terrie Stubbs and Patty Hune. We met while studying towards a landscape design certificate at PCC. Deciding to join forces was easy after realizing we had the same goal: to convert barren urban environments into functioning garden spaces in order to bring people and plants together. Usefulness of both the plants that we use as well as the ground they are grown in is a large part of the impetus behind Abundiflora. Both of us grew up in the Portland area with farmers and gardeners in our families that we admired. Patty spent a large part of her education drawing, printmaking and sculpting images based on the tension, drama and stillness found in the landforms around her. Terrie’s passion for traveling has allowed her to spend time observing many different landscapes and how people function in them. She continues to be drawn back and inspired by the pacific northwest. Garden design became a natural transition for us to utilize our creative talents and horticultural knowledge. Our mutual background in nursery work, garden rejuvenation and landscape design have provided us with the skills to give our clients the green spaces they want. Abundiflora takes the next step to arm our clients with the tools to keep those new gardens thriving and productive.

“Every site has the potential to become a successful garden. It may serve the purpose of beautification, providing sustenance, creating a relaxing and healing space, inspiring edification or all of the above. Every patch of dirt and weeds, every neglected lawn, every swath of unused concrete and asphalt can be a diverse healthy landscape. It starts with a design.” …Patty |
